I know as a teen in the congregation I attended there were those when you were with them at a house party were some of the biggest partiers but at the KH they were holier than thou. These were the ones that the elders would give "special privileges" to. Most of these guys now are good elders. This was another thing that turned me right off of the organization. -

4) Supporting Jeehoober means recognizing his right to rule. You obey because you want to.
This means obeying the GB without question.
I have worked with many gay people over the years and the majority were more christlike than most dubs. Kind, loving, generous.
My girlfriend and myself went to a yard party that a gay friend put on and they were the most hospitable people. They know you are not gay and don't push it.

The Status of DO`s , Co`s , Zone Servants , or their equivalents , nowadays .
by smiddy ini am just trying to figure out who is an employer and an employee as opposed to a volunteer in this organisation .. are the governing body members of the wtb&ts employers ?
do they consider themselves volunteers ?.
are anybody male or female under their jurisdiction employee`s ?

The WT can twist it anyway they want but you know anything the WT does is to protect the organization. The R&F members do not count. To think all those faithful dubs that gave all their blood and sweat and sacrifice a life for this organization, in the end do not count. -

End times madness?
by erbie inmy wife's parents who are pretty obsessed with the watchtower religion are going on holiday more than they are at home these days and spending money like it is something evil to be got rid of.
i have not been to a meeting in a long time but after reading the thread on hysteria by campaign of hate and the whole tv broadcasting thing i got to wondering if they really are ramping up the 'sense of urgency'.
many on here are better informed than me so i'd be interested to hear whether this is a common thing..

It is our ego and our fear of death that makes us feel we are so significant that a god would have chosen our life time as being so important. In reality we are not anymore important than any other generation and in a thousand years who will even care or know what we did in this time. That is why it is so important to live each day to the fullest knowing it could be our last. -

Why are JW talks & publications never uplifting?
by thedepressedsoul ini was sitting at the meeting the other night and for the first time it hit, jw talks or magazines are never uplifting!
i rarely, if ever hear a talk or read a magazines and have it give nothing but praise to jehovahs servants or just praise jehovah and jesus throughout it.
they never just a read through the bible or just a bible story explained or told.

I got tired of hearing the same regurgitated garbage every week. Eventually I learned to just shut of my brain for the two hours or so i was in there. I would almost guarantee that if I went to a meeting now even though I have not being in a KH for 20 years, it will still be the same BS I heard 20 years ago. I can't believe that more are not that bright to figure this out. -

JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH
by campaign of hate inif you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.
its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.
there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

I am not sure if this has being discussed. I just watch "Deadly Devotion" on ID Channel. The episode was entitled, Witness to Murder. It was about the infamous 1985 case of Kim Anderson. I vaguely recall this story. Even though there was some inaccuracies on the portraying of the JW elders, it was good because it showed the JW,s and the elder arrangement for what they are, a controlling mind cult. After Kim pleaded with the elders that she had to get out of this abusive relationship and the elders forced her to stay in which ultimately led to her being killed by her abusive husband.

Just so no one forgets just how much of a egregious FRAUD Joseph (judge) Rutherford was
by Watchtower-Free inwhat are the real roots of jehovah's witnesses.

Rutherford was also a lose cannon and his last few years that WT stuck him out at Beth Sarim just to get him out of the way. -

There are a lot of charitable organizations out there that shouldn't be. The only thing the WT does is distribute literature and I don't see that as charitable works.
